WHY I'M THE RIGHT CHOICE (insert Bills below)
My name is William Lawrence I am running for Piscataway Township Council this November. Piscataway has Four Wards, and I am running for Township Council in Ward 1.
I have been a resident of Piscataway for 27 years. I moved to Piscataway in 1995, when I married my wife Lucy. I am asking for your vote…. Why should you vote for me?? Because I will support issues that are important to you…
- lower property taxes
- law enforcement and veterans issues
- term limits (for elected officials)
- I am concerned about commercial property utilization, including the continued building of new warehouses.
Regarding term limits, it seems like we have none in Piscataway Township? It seems like some elected representatives make careers out of public service. I think there should be limits on how many terms one may serve, and also, possibly, restrictions on future types of employment after someone leaves public office.
Regarding commercial property utilization … the continued building of new warehouses will eventually cause more trucks to be on our Township roads, some of which are already very congested.
